¶ Overview
A legendary tavern in Lepidstadt known equally for its stiff drinks and academic dread, The Final Exam sits in the shadow of the university’s Anatomy Wing. The stone-walled establishment looks like it was carved from an old lecture hall—complete with arched ceilings, wooden pew-style booths, and a massive blackboard scrawled with drink specials and ominous equations.
¶ Aesthetic & Atmosphere
- Lighting: Dim and flickering—mostly lanterns with blue-glass panes and ghostly driftglobes overhead.
- Décor: The walls are lined with skeletal diagrams, failed dissertations pinned like hunting trophies, and student robes nailed up like flayed skins.
- Ambience: Echoing whispers, the ticking of a massive clock, and occasional groans from the floorboards.

¶ The Grading Curve
A custom-built bar shaped like a crescent amphitheater, complete with seats numbered I–X and a raised lectern for bartenders to serve from.
¶ The Detention Hall (Back Room)
A private space for secret society meetings, dangerous dares, or illicit research. Locked most nights.
¶ The Cadaver Counter
A long, marble slab where drinks are served atop old dissection tables—rumored to have been “lightly cleansed.”
¶ The Bubble Loft
Hammocks and low tables where tired students nap, study, or host casual spell duels with nonlethal effects.
¶ Signature Menu
- Thesis Burner – A potent blend of absinthe and dark rum, lit on fire and extinguished with a scream (from a prepared sound cantrip).
- Graveyard Cider – Spiced, black cider with a bone-white froth and a lingering kick.
- Exam Anxiety – A mystery shot served in a glass shaped like a brain. Effects vary—some mildly euphoric, others… not so mild.
